Calgary fire crews busy with fires, rollover
Calgary firefighters were busy Sunday morning responding to a total of four fires and a rollover within a few hours.
But crews say, luckily no one appears to have been seriously injured from any of the calls.
The first involved a basement fire in Mayland Heights. Shortly after, crews responded to a fire at a home that was caused by a pot left unattended on a stove at 13th Street and 19th Ave. N.W.
The department then put out a dumpster fire at an apartment building in the northeast. The tenants were forced to leave because of heavy smoke.
Firefighters then travelled to Melrose Place on 17th Ave. S.W. to extinguish some pallets that caught fire.
Finally, at around 6 a.m., crews attended Deerfoot Trail where a car was found on its roof.
Police say the driver has minor injuries.
