If adding more arts and culture to your life in 2019 is on your resolution list, here's our weekly roundup to give you some options.

Shakespeare remixed

The Kinkonauts are working their magic Saturday, turning the best of William Shakespeare into a hilarious show called Much Ado from Nothing: An Improvised Shakespeare.

There will be costumes, comedy and soliloquies, improvised on the spot based on audience suggestions.

That starts at 8pm at Inglewood's Rose Room.

Here's some more details for you.

Mini Pops, the next generation

If you were a child of the '80s you probably remember the Mini Pops. A musical sensation at a time of Spandex and jelly shoes.

Mini Pop Kids of today are kind of a hot take on Maroon 5, Calvin Harris and Alessia Cara and they're touring Alberta right now with a stop in Calgary on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium.

Here's what you need to know.

Free movement

If moving more is one of your resolutions, Free Spirit Dance in northwest Calgary is opening all of its classes for free this Saturday.

They've got everything from Bollywood Fusion to Zumba, Barre, Reggaeton Fusion, contemporary, Dancehall and salsa, and that's just a start.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and the first class gets underway at 9 a.m.

This is adults only, no kids or audiences. Be sure to arrive early.

Here's more details.

Something outdoors

It may cool off but the temperature outdoors this weekend should be manageable, so one option is to head south for the Southwood Winter Festival on Saturday from  2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

It's totally free with a donation to the Calgary Food Bank.

There will be skating, shinny, sleigh rides, a petting zoo, facepainting, games, arts and crafts and a lot more.

There's even a community jam session happening for anyone musical, so just bring an instrument and join in.

Here are the details on Facebook.

There's also a community skate party at the Haysboro Community Centre on Sunday starting at 2 p.m.

It's called Light Up Haysboro Skate Party and here are the details from Facebook.

Motorcycle show

The Calgary Motorcycle Show is back at the BMO Centre this weekend. They are packing Hall B with bikes, gear, customs, demos and more.
