Airdrie man charged after gas station robbed using replica gun
Cody Madigan, 20, is facing five charges after a gas station in Balzac was robbed. The suspect entered brandishing an airsoft pistol.

Alberta RCMP have charged a man after a gas station was robbed in Balzac.
On Saturday at around 3:12 p.m., police say a lone man entered Balzac Gas Station and demanded money from the clerk while brandishing an airsoft pistol, which are replica guns that shoot pellets.
Police say the suspect took off with the money in a vehicle.
RCMP tracked down the vehicle later the same day in Airdrie's Luxstone neighbourhood, where they arrested the suspect.
Cody Madigan, 20, faces five charges, including:
- Robbery with a firearm.
- Using a firearm while committing an offence.
- Pointing a firearm.
Madigan's been released under conditions and is due to appear in court on Jan. 31, 2019.
Balzac is a hamlet located just north of Calgary.
