Arrest made in Calgary man's 2012 death
Gatleak Thor Metkurjock, 20, died from injuries sustained at house party
Police say they have made an arrest related to the death of a Calgary man two years ago.
Police arrested a 19-year-old on Tuesday, announcing that charges are pending.
Gatleak Thor Metkurjock was injured in January 2012 at a house party near 21st Avenue and 16th Street S.W. and died the next day.
The cause of death was later found to be blunt force trauma and police say the attack was not random.
Family said the 20-year-old man had escaped the war in Sudan and spent eight years in a refugee camp before coming to Canada.
He was studying English and wanted to become an engineer.
