Alberta teachers head back to school with no contract
Alberta teachers will start school without a contract this year because their collective agreements expire Friday.
Frank Bruseker, with the Calgary Public Teachers association, says teachers face a lot of uncertainty.
Finance Minister Doug Horner warned Thursday that bad quarterly results mean there is no extra money for teachers.
"I think in the past we had some indication that there might be some flexibility on the budget, but Horner has closed that door," said Bruseker.
The Calgary Eyeopener sat down with Bruseker to get his full reaction.
