1 dead after southeast stabbing
Victim transported to hospital but succumbed to injuries Sunday morning
One man is dead after a late-night stabbing in southeast Calgary.
Police say they received reports of an injured man just after 10 p.m. MT Saturday.
When they arrived at the 3900 block of 17th Avenue S.E., police found the man unconscious with stab wounds. He was brought to hospital but succumbed to his injuries Sunday morning.
An autopsy will be scheduled for early next week and police say they will not be releasing any more information until it is completed.
The homicide unit is now investigating and police are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
