Three countries will take part in Vancouver's annual Honda Celebration of Light fireworks festival this summer, organizers have announced.

A team from the United Kingdom will open the show on Saturday July 27, followed by Canada on Wednesday July 31 and Thailand on Saturday, Aug. 3.

The Red Bull Airshow will take part on July 31 and Aug. 3.

The program also includes a free show by Serena Ryder and other musical acts, but the dates and locations have not yet been announced.

The popular event regularly attracts hundreds of thousands of spectators to the shores of English Bay.

In past years it has struggled to secure stable sponsorship, but changes to include paid seating in recent years have kept the festival alive.
