Vancouver rugby sevens fans show support with colourful costumes

Like any sport, rugby sevens comes with its own history and traditions. That's why fans at this weekend's Canada Sevens event at BC Place were clad in costumes and dressed as everything from lobsters to the Easter bunny.

Like any sport, rugby sevens comes with its own history and traditions.

That's why fans at this weekend's Canada Sevens event at BC Place were clad in costumes and dressed as everything from lobsters to the Easter bunny.

Sevens games are only 14-minutes long and each team plays three games spread out over the course of a day. That makes the tournament more of a social occasion than other sporting events.

Here are some of the more creative efforts from fans.
