Vancouver Lakewood Drive house fire doused early by firefighters

At around 5:30 a.m. PT Vancouver Fire and Rescue were called to a home on Lakewood Drive.

Investigators are now on scene trying to figure out what sparked the flames

Vancouver firefighters were able to quickly foil a house fire early this morning.

At around 5:30 a.m. PT Vancouver Fire and Rescue were called to a home on Lakewood Drive.

After arriving on scene fire crews discovered flames coming from the deck on the back side of the house.

Firefighters were able to quickly suppress the blaze before cutting a hole in the roof to ensure the fire was out.

Investigators are now on scene trying to figure out what sparked the incident.

No word on when occupants can return to the home.
