Spokesman says suspect who was fired at was not injured, and drove away
A TransLink Transit Police officer fired shots at a man, who then fled in a vehicle from the area of the Gateway SkyTrain Station in Surrey, B.C. this afternoon.
Staff-Sgt. Ken Schinkel said the incident happened at 4 p.m. PT, and that traffic around the station has been disrupted though the station itself is still open.
He also said that it does not appear that anyone was injured.
He said he could not discuss what happened prior to the shots being fired, and that Surrey RCMP Major Crimes Section is investigating.
