Police in Nanaimo, B.C., are hunting for three men suspected of carrying out a violent home invasion on Sunday afternoon.

The RCMP say the suspects, armed with handguns, pushed their way into a home on the 2400 block of Rosstown Road and used zap straps to bind a man and woman inside.

A third man inside managed to escape through a second-storey window and ran for help, but by the time police arrived the suspects had fled.

The three suspects are described as Asian men wearing bandanas over their faces and driving a small, older model tan or beige car.

Although the suspects are alleged to have demanded money during the home invasion, police say nothing was taken and no one was injured.

If anyone has information on this incident, they are asked to contact the Nanaimo RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
