Steve Nash leads star-studded class into B.C. Sports Hall of Fame

Eleven individuals and one team named to the 50th anniversary class of the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame.

      The 11 individuals and one team named to the 2016 Class of the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame constitute a who's who of B.C. sports icons.

      The list of names released on today runs from basketball superstar Steve Nash to national soccer team pioneer Geri Donnelly, CFL coaching legend Wally Buono to Whitecaps treasure Carl Valentine, Canucks,Grizzlies and 2010 Olympic builder Arthur Griffiths to sports maven Diane Clement, not to mention turn-of-the century transcendent soccer star Harry Xul-si-malt Manson.

      Even Alberta born Jarome Iginla and Shane Doan are getting in on the action as members of arguably the most dominant junior hockey team in history.
