RCMP confirm body of missing Maple Ridge woman found in ravine

The body found in a Maple Ridge ravine Thursday evening is that of missing 56-year-old Darlene Stott according to Ridge Meadows RCMP.

The body found in a Maple Ridge ravine Thursday evening is that of 56-year-old Darlene Stott according to Ridge Meadows RCMP.

Foul play is not suspected. An autopsy has been ordered to determine probable cause of death.

Stott was reported missing on Wednesday.

Police were called to wooded the area of 116 Avenue and 239a Street around 5 p.m. Thursday after a person reported seeing a body in the bushes.

Police say they received a call around 5 p.m. Wednesday evening after someone found a body in a wooded area near a residential neighbourhood. (Gian-Paolo Mendoza/CBC)
