Police in Metro Vancouver want one very distracted driver off the road for a long time.

In a tweet, the Vancouver Police Department noted one of its officers has just handed a woman her 14th ticket for using a cellphone while behind the wheel.

The officer has requested that the woman be prohibited from driving, although the police department hasn't said when — or how — that penalty might be imposed.

Just last week, Richmond RCMP noted the driver had received her 12th ticket for distracted driving. She was ticketed after nearly colliding with an officer.

The Richmond woman was slapped with a 13th violation notice on the weekend and VPD announced the 14th ticket on Wednesday.
