A fire in a housing complex at Hamber Place and Mount Seymour Road has damaged the roof of a housing complex, forcing several people out of their homes on Thursday evening.

Watch raw video of the fire, tweeted by the District of North Vancouver Firefighters Association.

Several residents in the area tweeted it was the Riverwoods Housing Co-operative that was on fire. A reception centre for the evacuees has been set up at the Parkgate community centre, officials say.
