Missing Surrey girls found safe by police
Cousins were reported missing after they disappeared from residential complex
Police in Surrey say two young girls who were reported missing Sunday afternoon have been found without incident.
According to the RCMP the cousins, who are 12 and 10 years old, "just went for a walk."
"Thanks to a number of calls from the public the girls were located safe and sound, and have been returned to their much relieved families," said a statement released by the RCMP.
They were reported missing by one of their mothers after they disappeared from the play area of a residential complex on 83 Avenue around 5 p.m. PT.
