One of BC's most veteran filmmakers will be honoured at the 2015 Leo Awards.

Although Virtue's has an extensive resume in film and television, he began his career in a very different sort of show business.

"I was an athlete and I started off being a circus performer," he told Our Vancouver's Gloria Macarenko in a recent sit-down interview.

It was there Virtue learned a rare skill: stunt performing. Stunt work, especially while on horseback, would eventually become one of Virtue's most valuable talents.

Danny Virtue has filled many roles over his career: stuntman, animal wrangler, producer and director. Now, he is receiving an award for outstanding achievement at the 2015 Leo Awards.
