Homicide investigators called after man's body found in Maple Ridge

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over the investigation into the discovery Tuesday of a man's body in Maple Ridge, B.C.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over the investigation into the discovery Tuesday of a man's body in Maple Ridge, B.C.

In a tweet later in the day, IHIT said the man was 55-years-old and appeared to be the victim of a targeted attack.

Police first became aware of the incident after Ridge Meadows RCMP were called to a property near the 28800 block of Lougheed Highway around 10 a.m. PT.

An RCMP spokesperson said that "obviously some foul play is suspected," but wouldn't elaborate.
