Convicted killer of Japanese exchange student files appeal

The B.C. man convicted of murdering Japanese exchange student Natsumi Kogawa has filed an appeal of his guilty verdict.
Thirty-year-old Kogawa's body was found inside a suitcase on the grounds of the Gabriola Mansion in Vancouver's West End in September 2016.
She had been studying English in Vancouver on a student visa.
Prior to his murder conviction, Schneider pleaded guilty to interfering with human remains or offering an indignity to a human body in relation to the case.
