E. coli concerns prompt Costco organic beef recall

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Costco are warning the public that a recent batch of Kirkland Signature brand organic lean ground beef may be contaminated with E.coli.

This affected product was sold from Costco warehouses in B.C., Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

It comes in 1.8-kilogram packages with a best before date of Oct. 15, 2013.

Costco is voluntarily recalling the product.

So far, there have been no reported illnesses.
