      August 26 is National Dog Day and we are celebrating the canines we love by sharing some of our favourite photos of the B.C. newsroom's pooches.

      Of course, there's always one devoted dog owner who takes things above and beyond for their mutt. Step forward, reporter Kirk Williams, and his six-year-old Goldendoodle, Ripley.

      Not only is Ripley a retired therapy dog at the Dr. Peter Centre, she has also been a volunteer at Pets and Friends.

      What really sets Ripley apart, however, is her ability with a hairdryer.
