CBC Vancouver continues to support Indigenous artists through the Talking Stick Festival

CBC Vancouver is proud to return as the exclusive radio and TV sponsor of the Talking Stick Festival, one of the premier, multi-disciplinary Indigenous arts festivals in North America. This is the fifth year CBC Vancouver has sponsored the event as part of its continued strategy to support local communities and the arts.

Presented on the traditional unceded territories of the Coast Salish People, the 19th annual Talking Stick Festival showcases traditional and contemporary Indigenous performance and art, featuring some of North America's best emerging and established Indigenous artists. The programming includes theatre, storytelling, writing, music, spoken word, dance, film, visual arts – and more!

The festival's theme for 2020 is Chén̓chenstway, "upholding each other, lifting each other up," and this year's festival aims to provide that for all of its participants and attendees.
