A 34-year-old man is under arrest for arson in Abbotsford after his 31-year-old brother was taken to hospital with serious burns.

Police were called after rescue crews pulled a man from a burning motorhome in the 27000-block of Myrtle Avenue Wednesday night.

Witnesses reported that just before emergency crews arrived, they watched the victim's brother take off in a vehicle, police said.

Mission RCMP arrested the older brother a few hours later and police say arson charges are being recommended.
