Highway 16 was to be closed until mid-afternoon Wednesday, but DriveBc had not provided an update on the closure by late Wednesday.
The Canadian Avalanche Centre said the avalanche hazard in the region is extreme today.
It's urging people to avoid all avalanche terrain, including ski hills.
Terrace's ski hill, Shames Mountain, is closed today.
