Police have identified the man found dead in Richmond, B.C., on Monday as 20-year-old Alexander Renney

The Surrey man was last seen on Sunday night. His body was found early the next morning at a business near 6 Road and River Road.

“Investigators continue to narrow down the timeline of his last movements and who he was in contact with prior to his death,” said Sgt. Stephanie Ashton, a spokesperson for the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.

Police are treating the death as suspicious and say it does not appear to be a random attack. A neighbouring business told CBC News on Monday that the body was found by a loader operator behind a gravel pile.
