Contraband, ‘inappropriate relationship’ with inmate alleged in charges against ex-jail guard

A former correctional officer at a jail in Port Coquitlam, B.C., has been accused of breach of trust for allegedly engaging in an inappropriate relationship with an inmate, as well as not reporting contraband.

Vancouver police say a 17-year-old has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault for allegedly stabbing four people in the city's Downtown Eastside Wednesday. Police believe one of the victims was targeted, while the other three were bystanders.
