1 dead, 1 injured in North Vancouver attack
One man is dead and a woman in critical condition in hospital after an attack in North Vancouver early Saturday morning.
Police were called to a townhouse in the 500 block of West 28th Street at about 1:30 a.m. PT for a domestic dispute.
Two people were found inside the home with "extensive injuries," according to police. A male victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while a female victim was taken to hospital where she remains in critical condition.
Sgt. Jennifer Pound, who spoke for the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, said police have one suspect in custody.
"Also located inside that residence was a male who was arrested by investigators," Pound said.
"That male is being extremely unco-operative and at this time, we're trying to confirm identities of these three individuals and trying to determine the relationship between them."
Pound said the 27-year-old suspect, who remains in police custody, was extremely combative and had to be restrained before being placed under arrest.
No charges have been laid and no names have been released.
