Body count at 4: homicide suspected in all deaths
Police in Fort Qu'Appelle are investigating four killings on two neighbouring Indian reserves.
Searchers discovered the bodies of two teenaged boys in a dense wooded area Tuesday on the Star Blanket Cree Nation, east of Melville. Two boys, aged 14 and 16, were reported missing from the area on the weekend.
The bodies were found not far from where a 45-year-old Sasktel repairman was found shot to death on Saturday.
"Approximately two kilometres I don't know exactly where in the bush they were found, but it was not that far from the reported homicide of the Sasktel employee," says RCMP Corporal Bill Betker.
Also on the weekend, the body of a 41-year-old man was found on the nearby Little Black Bear First Nation. He has now been identified as Bradley Paul Bellegarde.
Police say it's too early to say whether any of the deaths are linked. A 17-year-old boy from the nearby Okanese First Nation is charged with second-degree murder in the killing of the phone company employee.
