Ashley MacIsaac faces bankruptcy
Cape Breton fiddler Ashley MacIsaac has filed for bankruptcy.
A Halifax newspaper is reporting the Cape Breton prodigy has a debt load of approximately $305,000 mostly in unpaid taxes.
Earlier this year MacIsaac admitted to pulling a practical joke on the Halifax Chronicle Herald by claiming he was broke. Now the paper says MacIsaac recently signed official papers at the Supreme Court of Canada declaring bankruptcy.MacIsaac's infamy peaked during a Halifax New Year's celebration when he shouted obscenities at the crowd as part of his performance at a rave.
Since then, many of his concert and club appearances have been cancelled.
