Consumers International has bestowed its dubious "Blindingly Obvious Danger Award" to Kellogg's and Lego for creating a candy shaped like a Lego brick.

The non-profit coalition of consumer groups said Monday the Lego-shaped Fun Snacks pose a serious safety hazard to young children unable to differentiate between the candy and the plastic building toy.

"Sometimes, even the biggest multimillion-dollar companies with the most creative minds, need to just stop, take a deep breath and ask themselves, 'Is this really a good idea?'" said Consumers International spokesman Luke Upchurch in a statement.

"We suggest Kellogg's go back to the drawing board and work on getting kids eating healthier foods, not edible toy imitations."

The group noted Fun Snacks are no longer readily available, though they said an online search showed Amazon.com was still selling the product as of last month.
