2015 CCMA Awards: Dean Brody, Gord Bamford lead nominees

Dean Brody and Gord Bamford are leading the pack with six nominations apiece for the Canadian Country Music Awards.

Country music's biggest event moves east to Halifax on Sept. 13

Country superstars Dean Brody and Gord Bamford are leading the pack with six nominations apiece for the Canadian Country Music Association Awards, to be held September 13. 

Following close behind are Dallas Smith, and last year's big winner, Brett Kissel, with four nominations each.

Country music's biggest night is heading east to Halifax this year. The awards show will be broadcast live on CBC Television.

The CCMA revealed the list of nominees Wednesday.

Previously, organizers announced that Smith, Kissel, Tim Hicks and special international guests Florida Georgia Line would be performing at the gala.

Brody and Bamford will be going head-to-head in different categories, including for the prestigious Fan's Choice award and male artist of the year.
