Here's a new attraction on CBC Gem that Canadian music fans need to know about.

Today we introduce CBC Music Live, a showcase for full-length, uncut performances from CBC Music's First Play Live series, Junos 365 sessions and other live events.

Highlights include a session with Arkells, performing in front of a live audience at CBC's Studio 211; Weaves, playing songs from their debut album in the lush environs of Allan Gardens; and from the Garrison in Toronto, a set of Morbid Stuff songs from punk band Pup.

There are also performances by July Talk, the Strumbellas, Brett Kissel, Jeremy Dutcher, Jess Moskaluke, Cadence Weapon, City and Colour, Ria Mae and others available for streaming.

To begin your CBC Music Live experience, head over to CBC Gem now or download the free app and let the concerts begin.

Jeremy Dutcher performs songs from his 2018 Polaris Prize-winning album, Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa, for CBC Music. (CBC Music)
