What's On: Pan Am Games Closing Ceremony and more

It's been a wonderful couple of weeks, welcoming athletes, their families and tourists to the city for the Pan Am Games. The games come to an end this weekend, and the closing ceremony is likely the biggest ticket in town. However, there's lots to do before heading down to watch it:

Closing Ceremony: Pan Am Games
Jul 26
Pan Am Ceremonies Venue (1 Blue Jays Way)

The big story, of course, is Kanye West as one of the three headline acts, the other two being Serena Ryder and Pitbull. The next big question is -- who will be the flag bearer for Canada for the closing ceremony? If you're not at the venue, tune into CBC to find out!

For more information, check out the Pan Am Games website.

Momo Crawl
Jul 26
Parkdale

Canada's first ever Momo Crawl will give you a passport to Little Tibet. You can sample the steamed dumplings and also partake in cultural activities to learn more about the city's growing Tibetan diaspora.

Toronto Vintage Bicycle Show
Jun 26
Trinity Bellwoods Park

If you have a vintage bicycle sitting in your basement or garage, give it a shine and show it off at the event, organizers say. This free event is another celebration for Toronto's bicycle culture. Expect like-minded people and vendors.

For more information, check out the Community Bicycle Network website.

Art Battle International Live
Jul 24; Jul 25
Distillery District; Nathan Phillips Square

Visual artists from across the Americas come together to battle live using acrylic paints. Audiences choose their favourites, who go on to the next round.

Figment Festival
Jul 25 to Jul 26

Whimsy seems to be a key word for this festival. Artists will present works meant to be observed or take part in. Examples range from sketching out the treehouse of your childhood dreams, running in a giant hamster wheel or simply partaking in a picnic.

For more information, check out the Figment Festival website.

Air Guitar Championship: Finals
