Foreign Investors
Foreign investors into the condo market are considered a kind of mixed blessing, they bring a lot of money into Toronto's economy, but they often act like absentee landlords. And in Toronto, condos have by default become rental housing. As the CBC's Mary Wiens tells us, foreign investors have also become a fact of life in Toronto, whether they're buying pint-sized condos or a palatial penthouse.
