Errol's Pick

If you have a toddler, you can probably attest to the fact that it can often be challenging to find good bedtime music that appeals to both you and your little one. Our music columnist Errol Nazareth says two storybook-music sets, "Songs from a Journey with a Parrot: Lullabies and Nursery Rhymes from Brazil and Portugal", might make the bedtime ritual more fun. The first is a collection of nursery rhymes and lullabies from Brazil and Portugal, and many of the 30 songs incorporate games. "A Gift For Sophie" is a heart warming tale about childhood friendship and mentorship, and the accompanying CD features the narrated story as well as nine songs. The illustrations in both books are gorgeous and the music will appeal to parents and their little ones. These storybook-CD's are published by The Secret Mountain External Site, an award-winning company based in Montreal.
