Episode 3: Life After Hate

Today on Metamorphosis, the story a former neo-Nazi skinhead with a disturbingly hateful and violent past.   He claims he's undergone a profound and permanent transformation.  But is such change possible? Back in the late 80s and early 90s Arno Michaelis was a rising star in the midwestern U.S. white supremacist movement; today he says he's committed his life to promoting peace, love, kindness and tolerance.

It's a seemingly remarkable turnaround, but there are some who seriously question whether Arno's transformation is genuine or complete.  How can someone who was once filled with such hate and rage, someone who openly advocated for the murder of minorities, suddenly claim they are no longer that person?  And how should such an individual make amends for his past?
