The 410
CBC's digital original drama, THE 410 (3x25), premieres May 2 at 10 a.m. ET on the CBC Gem streaming service.
Named after the solitary highway connecting the suburb of Brampton to the Greater Toronto Area, THE 410 centres around Suri (Supinder Wraich), a South Asian female and aspiring influencer, who turns to a life of crime to bail her truck driver father out of prison.
Created, co-produced by and starring Supinder Wraich, the series shines a light on issues within a South Asian community including drug trafficking, addiction and criminality, while emphasizing the important of family through an incredbly well crafted story and fully realized characters played by a completely diverse cast.
The series was directed by Toronto-based filmmaker Renuka Jeyapalan and is the first project of this kind for production company Mad Ruk Entertainment. An icon in the Canadian Music Video industry, Mad Ruk Ent is known for producing content for the likes of The Weeknd, Future, Ed Sheeran, Calvin Harris, French Montana, Wiz Khalifa, Miguel, Alessia Cara, Daniel Caesar and Jessie Reyez.
