SEASON 2 OF ACCLAIMED CBC DIGITAL ORIGINAL COMEDY SERIES TRUE DATING STORIES, PRODUCED BY LARUE ENTERTAINMENT, IS NOW STREAMING ON CBC GEM

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, production company LaRue Entertainment and CBC have announced the highly anticipated return of digital original comedy series True Dating Stories, with eight new episodes available now on the free CBC Gem streaming service.

The eight new episodes feature a fresh batch of real people telling their wildest and most shocking dating stories while hilarious recreations bring them to life. Each episode features a comedic re-telling of the world’s most entertaining dating stories with all the drama, romance and comedy they deserve. These sexy, jaw-dropping re-enactments will make you laugh, cry, and quite possibly swear off dating altogether.

The first season of True Dating Stories earned 2017 Canadian Screen Award nominations for Best Original Program or Series Produced for Digital Media - Non-Fiction and Best Direction in a Program or Series Produced for Digital Media, and was nominated for a Banff Rockie Award. The series is created by Andy and Matt King and produced by LaRue Entertainment. The new season taps into emerging directing talent, including Joyce Wong (Wexford Plaza), Zack Russell (She Stoops to Conquer), Erica Genereux Smith, and Allison Johnston. Andy King is also returning to direct. The series is produced by Andrew Ferguson, Tyler Metcalf, Matt King with Juliet Paperny and Tinu Sinha serving as AP and EP respectively. True Dating Stories was written by Emma Malm and Gwynne Phillips, and co-executive produced by Brooks Gray.
