This intimate portrait film follows master falconer Rodney Stotts on his mission to build a bird sanctuary and provide access to nature for his stressed community. THE FALCONER weaves Rodney's present-day mission with the story of his past, both of which are deeply rooted in issues of social and environmental injustice, and consistently orient the viewer to his worldview: nature heals. The film captures beauty and hope in a forgotten corner of the USA’s capital, as Rodney takes the time to break through to those too often dismissed as "hard to reach." This is a story of second chances: for injured birds of prey, for an abandoned plot of land, for a group of teenagers who have dropped out of high school, and for Rodney himself.

MIXED DOUBLES CURLING SUPER SERIES

Bringing together some of Canada’s top curlers for five events over five weekends, the inaugural Mixed Doubles Curling Super Series kicks off on Thursday, September 29 in Ottawa. Providing additional insights, highlights, recaps and interviews, new episodes of THAT CURLING SHOW, hosted by CBC Sports’ Devin Heroux and six-time Canadian champion and two-time World curling champion Colleen Jones, will be available nightly throughout the competition.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Final Round begins live streaming Tuesday, October 11 - Saturday, October 15
From September 23 - October 15, the 24 best teams in the world will compete in the 19th edition of the tournament, which, for the first time, will be co-hosted by two nations. Taking place in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, and Gliwice, Poland, the final round of the Women’s Volleyball World Championships begins on Tuesday, October 11 at 11 a.m. ET with the quarterfinals and culminates with the gold and bronze medal matches on Saturday, October 15.

THE NEXT STEP follows the lives of an elite group of young dancers who live and breathe dance at The Next Step Studio.
