Taylor Thorne

Taylor Thorne fell in love with performance at a very young age. At five years old, Taylor began dancing competitively in jazz, contemporary and hip hop, winning numerous awards along the way. Her dance skills transferred well to stage and Taylor landed her first roles in The Wizard of Oz and Aladdin at The Drayton Theatre.

Her first television appearance was a guest-star role as Agent Opa on the hit kids’ show Odd Squad.  Her career developed further when she booked a major recurring role opposite Brendan Fraser, playing his daughter in the series Condor for MGM/Skydance. Taylor’s feature film debut was playing a lead role in the independent feature Project Ithaca, directed by Nicholas Humphries.

Taylor recently wrapped on the TV movie The Sisterhood for CraveTV.

The idea of a challenging role initially drew Taylor to NORTHERN RESCUE but the chance to work up North all summer and with a penguin was also a bonus. "I got the full penguin experience! It brayed for me, gave me a love bite and even pooped on me. I can't lie.... I was a wee bit scared of it at first. It’s a wild animal!” Taylor explains. “But I would work with Tux (the penguin) again and again. It was so cute, followed me everywhere and, well, just looked darn great onscreen.” Taylor loves her character’s sarcasm, quick humor and one-liners, though she says she’s definitely more girly in real life.

When she is not in front of the camera, Taylor loves hanging out with her friends, singing, playing board games, and food. Her favorite pastime is watching TV and movies, and in the future she’d love to travel more. Being an academic high-achiever, Taylor was the head of her middle school’s Leadership Program and recently graduated to high school at the top of her class. Outside of the classroom, Taylor spends her time volunteering with the Kitchener Oktoberfest Parade. She hopes to one day run for Miss Oktoberfest, an ambassador program for young women.

Taylor currently resides in Kitchener, Ontario and has a younger sister who is also her best friend.
