Spencer Macpherson

Spencer Macpherson is a Toronto-based actor who got his start in community theatre in such shows as Oliver and A Christmas Carol.

Spencer has appeared in the CBS one-hour drama series American Gothic starring Virginia Madsen and in SyFy’s TV series Defiance and television movie Killer High. He is best known for his work as King Charles on The CW period drama Reign and for his role as Hunter Hollingsworth in Degrassi: The Next Generation, Degrassi TV, and Degrassi: Next Class. He has also starred in the film Sorry for Your Loss. 2018 was a busy year for Spencer: he appeared in the horror feature Extracurricular and in Richard Bell’s Indie feature Brotherhood, starring Brendan Fehr and Brendan Fletcher. He also joined the cast of the Netflix/CBC family drama NORTHERN RESCUE as Scout West, alongside Billy Baldwin and Kathleen Robertson.

In his spare time Spencer enjoys making art and playing music and Sick Kids Hospital is a charity he supports. He is also actively involved with Change the Narr, an organization to promote and help fund authentic mental health initiatives in the film and entertainment industry.

Spencer currently lives in Toronto.
