Rochelle Adonis

Born and raised in French-speaking Canada, and a talented pastry chef from a young age, Rochelle trained in Australia before her passion for fine cakes and confections took her across the globe. After working extensively in pastry kitchens across Europe, most notably the world-famous Hotel Sacher in Vienna, Rochelle took her diverse experience and knowledge back to the restaurants of Australia securing senior pastry positions in several of Sydney's finest dining rooms, including Matt Moran's Aria. In 2008, after relocating to Perth, Rochelle opened her eponymous salon, quickly gaining notoriety for her magnificent cakes and handmade confections as well as her unique spin on traditional 'high tea'.

Ten years on, the business now boasts a beautiful, leafy courtyard, gorgeous dining room, retail gallery, expansive kitchen and the elegant character that only a 100-year-old building could exude. The Rochelle Adonis brand continues to flourish, firmly imprinting its mark on the local, national and international food stages. Making guest TV appearances on local and national programs in Australia, Rochelle has tapped into her Canadian roots stepping in front of the cameras as a judge on CBC's THE GREAT CANADIAN BAKING SHOW, which debuted November 2017. After phenomenal success, season 2 will go to air in September. Today, Rochelle manages to juggle her family and business always striving to challenge herself creatively with the goal of expanding globally.
