Karin Wells

Karin Wells is an internationally recognized CBC radio documentary maker with a long and varied career. Trained as a lawyer, she has produced documentaries on subjects as varied as post conflict resolution in Mozambique and victim rights to opera in the English countryside. She has reported from more than 50 countries and is regularly heard on CBC Radio's The Sunday Edition as both a guest host and documentary maker.

Most recently she has produced documentaries on another way to deal with euthanasia in Belgium; conflict on the Peguis Reserve in Manitoba and BC's most defiant Disability Rights activist.

Karin's work has been recognized by the New York Radio Festival frequently over the past 20 years. She has received two United Nations media awards for her work out of Sierra Leone and this year for her documentary on dealing with Dementia in Denmark.

In 2011 she was inducted into the University of Ottawa Common Law Honour society.
