Julie Nesrallah

Host of CBC Music’s classical music program TEMPO, Julie Nesrallah is an acclaimed mezzo-soprano regularly engaged by opera companies, symphonies and festivals around the world.

In 2011, Miss Nesrallah sang for Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge during Canada Day festivities in a performance that was viewed by millions of people around the world. She has also performed for Queen Noor of Jordan and is a 2013 recipient of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Miss Nesrallah has made several recordings and is the distinguished recipient of several awards including the Canada Council for the Arts Emerging Artist Award and Mid-Career Grant. She is also the host of SOLO, the international award-winning television series seen on CBC.  

Miss Nesrallah is the executive producer and star of Carmen on Tap, a company she created that performs Georges Bizet’s opera Carmen as dinner theatre.
