Julianne Hazlewood

Julianne Hazlewood is the host of CBC Radio One’s London Morning, heard weekdays from 6:00 to 8:30 a.m. on 93.5 FM. Julianne joins the CBC London team from CBC Saskatoon, where she spent the last year hosting the station’s morning radio show.

Julianne worked her way across Canada with CBC as a host, reporter, video journalist, producer and writer. She’s excited to return to London, where she graduated with a masters degree in journalism from Western University.

Julianne got her start at CBC in Ottawa during the 2011 federal election. She was supposed to stay for only a few days to produce an election podcast, but that turned into a permanent job as a producer and writer for CBC News Network’s Power and Politics. Julianne also produced documentaries for CBC Radio’s The House and filled in as a senior reporter at the parliamentary bureau.

Fredericton, New Brunswick was Julianne's next stop. She travelled the province, reporting on everything from provincial politics to weather disasters to the lobster industry (she even held a live one on air!). Before coming to London, Julianne also reported from newsrooms in Vancouver, Windsor and Kitchener.

Julianne was born and raised in Scarborough and she also has family in London. Julianne is a proud big sister through the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program; and she loves running, hiking, singing (she tries to refrain from doing so on the radio), going to the farmers market on Saturday mornings and drinking obscene amounts of green tea.
