Emily Hampshire

Montreal native Emily Hampshire can be seen starring in two critically acclaimed and vastly different television series at the same time. Hampshire portrays fan favourite ’Stevie Budd' in the CBC/Pop comedy series Schitt’s Creek, opposite Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara, for which she has received multiple Canadian Screen Awards. In addition, she played ‘Jennifer Goines’ in Syfy/Hulu's 12 Monkeys and has garnered numerous accolades and acclaim for her performance in the character first made iconic by Brad Pitt. Hampshire has also received a Golden Maple Award for her work on both 12 Monkeys and Schitt’s Creek

Emily is currently shooting and executive producing the horror feature Home. The story is set after the death of a couple’s newborn son, which leads to the couple separating. Alone in her house, she is convinced that her son is still alive, unaware that the death of her baby has caused the birth of something terribly sinister. This past year, Hampshire was seen in The Life and Death of John F. Donovan with Jessica Chastain, Natalie Portman and Kit Harrington from celebrated director Xavier Dolan. She also recently appeared in Darren Aronofsky’s feature Mother! and the indie Never Saw It Coming. No stranger to the Toronto International Film Festival, Hampshire has had eight movies premiere at the prestigious festival. In 2012, she received the Birks Canadian Diamond Award at the Cannes Film Festival for her career and work in David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis.

Hampshire has also been named an ‘International Star You Need To Know’ by Variety as well as being featured on the NextGen Canada list by The Hollywood Reporter.  Hampshire currently splits her time between Toronto and Los Angeles.
