December 13, 2013: CBC Harvesting Hope Radiothon

Harvesting Hope is a CBC Manitoba holiday tradition that brings Winnipeggers and Manitobans together through the magic of CBC Radio One to support the province's largest food bank, Winnipeg Harvest.

It's a day to celebrate the season of giving; a day to share stories of Winnipeg Harvest volunteers, donors and the thousands of Manitobans who use the food bank's services. Local musicians perform live, adding their voices to inspire you to donate.

From the early beginnings of Harvest Breakfast 20 years ago, Harvesting Hope has grown into an all-day effort on radio, television and web.

Collecting infant formula

CBC Manitoba is teaming up with Winnipeg Harvest and asking Manitobans to fill the yellow bins with infant formula.

Each month Winnipeg Harvest provides emergency baby formula to over 1600 babies under the age of one. Despite generous food donations there is never enough infant formula to meet the demand.
