Is Confederation Trail a big money maker?

ConfederationTrailPEI.jpgThe Atlantic Canada Trails Association has released the results of a study on the economic impact of the Confederation Trail in PEI. More than 400 surveys were collected representing 910 trail users from St.Peter's, Hunter River and Kensington. We spoke to Jane Murphy, president of the Atlantic Canada Trails Association.

Japanese Knotweed - An Invasive Plant

JapaneseKnotweedCBC.jpgCrews were working in Bonshaw today to try to control an invasive plant. Japanese Knotweed isn't native to PEI and it chokes out other vegetation. Megan Harris is the coordinator with the West River Watershed Group. She met up with the CBC's Brian Higgins on the riverbank to discuss the project to tey and eradicate the Japanese knotweed.

The 7th Annual Dandelion Festival - Stratford

Karen Mair Marion spoke with Marion Copleston with the  PEI Environmental Health Coop and Tracy Brown, who's with the Bedeque Bay Environmental Management Association. On Monday, the Hall workshops begin at 10 AM and the music, facepainting and food gets underway at 12:30 PM.
