Singing Storytellers is an International Interdisciplinary Symposium hosted by Cape Breton University, in partnership with Celtic Colours and CBC, and today at CBU Library Lounge it's Singing the "Stories of Injustice: Bards as Witness".

Hawa Kassé Mady Diabaté and Fode Lassana Diabaté are here from Mali!
These revered musicians, Jelis, or Mande, are traveling throughout Cape Breton this week, giving school workshops, concerts and meeting with various communities.
They are here to take part in the Singing Storytellers Symposium, which will be held in conjunction with Celtic Colours and hosted by Cape Breton University. The symposium is part of a multifaceted public outreach program that engages with a diversity of local cultures and celebrates their international connections.
