Delivering smiles -- A Thunder Bay dentist offers free dental work in Wunnumin Lake First Nation
Aug 16, 2018
A Thunder Bay dentist has just returned to the city after offering his services free of charge in Wunnimun Lake First Nation.
Dr. Derval Clarke has a long history of making humanitarian dental missions to his home country of Jamaica.
This year, he decided to stay closer to home.
Dr. Clarke made the trip with Dr. Martesia Marshall.
She's a former classmate of his from Howard University who is now studying pediatric denistry in Washington D-C.
The two spent four days in Wunnimum Lake and came back last week.
The CBC's Heather Kitching spoke to Dr. Clarke for us in Thunder Bay.
